Symptoms
Cardiac symptoms vary from person to person, and also vary based on the underlying cause of the heart problem. Some of the most common include:
- Chest pain or discomfort, which may extend to the shoulders, arms, back and neck
- Shortness of breath
- Irregular heart beats
- A lack of energy
- Weakness, nausea or dizziness
- Sweating unrelated to exercise or exertion
- Swelling in your ankles or feet, or abdominal bloating
If you experience one or more of these symptoms, it is important that you see your physician as quickly as possible.
