What to Expect - Headway
The starting point for you to receive services with Headway Brain Injury Rehabilitation Program is a referral to our program from a physician, physician's assistant or nurse practitioner. We then conduct an initial evaluation, allowing us to evaluate your strengths and barriers.
The evaluation and consideration of your therapeutic goals determines whether our ongoing services are appropriate. It also assists us in working with you to develop a treatment plan that meets your therapeutic and personal goals.
- The Day Treatment Program can be for a few hours a week or up to six hours a day, five days a week. Again, services are tailored to meet the unique rehabilitation needs of each person we serve.
- Our services (on average) last about two months.
The goal of Headway is to help clients develop active, independent lives, and move back into the community, school, work and/or home in a way that brings them satisfaction and facilitates ease of daily activities.
