St. Vincent Healthcare has offered the CareLine Program for the past 25 years and has over 450 subscribers in a 10 county area. Our service is an important safeguard for anyone who may be home alone, even for part of the day. With the Lifeline equipment and monitoring we provide, the CareLine program provides the assurance that help is always within reach, day or night — whatever the situation may be.
At the press of a small, lightweight, waterproof button, your home communicator unit places a call to the Lifeline Monitoring Center. A Lifeline monitor speaks to you through the two-way voice communicator and quickly contacts appropriate help to get you the assistance you need. This may be a friend, neighbor, or relative you have designated, or the police, ambulance, or fire department.
The Lifeline system is rented on a month-to-month basis and is installed in your home by a trained installer. The equipment rental, maintenance, and 24 hour per day monitoring, costs $34.00 per month for our basic unit, with a one time $25 installation fee. There is no additional fee from the telephone company for adding this service to your phone and there is no limit on the number of times the service can be used, in fact, frequent "check-in" calls are encouraged.
