Family Update Statement: Patient Jase Muri
August 12, 2009
Billings, Montana, Friday- July 29, 2009 - Jeff and Tammy Muri, the parents of 18-year-old Jase Muri, have requested to release a second statement to the media to inform family, friends and loved ones on Jase’s updated condition.
“Jase is currently being cared for in the St. Vincent Healthcare New Hope Rehabilitation unit. He is breathing and talking on his own and his physicians and therapists say that he is making good progress both physically and mentally. We are very thankful that our son is getting better every day, but we are also realistic that Jase has a very long way to go. Over the next few months he must relearn basic life skills. He now must undergo a second surgery on Saturday morning to help assist in that process. His recovery will be long and difficult, but we are very grateful for all of the love and support we have received.
The medical care at St. Vincent has been outstanding. Because this is such an integral time in Jase’s healing, his physicians have requested to limit visitors due to over-stimulation. When Jase reaches a point when he can tolerate more company, we will let you know. Thank you, for all of your love, support and prayers. It is because of this prayer.. that Jase has come this far.”
