Dr. Mosser’s work as a neurologist is deeply rooted in science, and in his faith. He credits divine guidance with bringing him to St. Vincent Healthcare. Not too long after his wife opened up an email about neurology opportunities, they moved to Billings from their Pennsylvania home, and left the private practice he’d been a part of for 31 years. The warmth and friendliness of the community were immediately apparent, which is why Dr. Mosser enjoys being able to meet and care for a wide variety of people here every day.
Dr. Mosser is proud to have modern diagnostic and treatment facilities at his fingertips, plus the resources and talents of other neurologists, neurosurgeons, physical medicine and rehabilitation doctors, primary care providers and more. In his view, compared to cities like Seattle, Denver or Baltimore, “St. Vincent covers 98% of patients’ needs with 10% of the hassle.”
However, while these technological and expert resources are important, it all comes back to serving patients. “St. Vincent is well-integrated, and unsurpassed in patient centeredness,” he explains. Whether he’s caring for patients with epilepsy, headaches, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s Disease, stroke, neuropathy, dementia or any other health challenge, his approach is this: “I listen, I communicate and teach, but above all, I care for my patients like friends and family.” He continues, “You can't top the mission ‘to reveal God’s healing love’ in your daily work life.”
