Cerebral Surgery

Cerebral (Brain) Surgery
The need for cerebral, or brain, surgery may arise for a number of reasons, including a traumatic injury such as those sustained in a fall or accident, the discovery of a tumor or aneurysm, diagnosis of neurological disease or complications caused by stroke, illness or infection.

Stereotactic neurosurgery, which utilizes imaging to guide the surgeon to specific, targeted areas of the brain, is a standard procedure at St. Vincent Healthcare.
