High Risk Infant Follow-Up Clinic
Some graduates from the Newborn Intensive Care Nursery (NICU) have or develop significant developmental delays. Some of these include prematurity, congenital defects or extreme illnesses that may damage or delay development of the nervous system. These delays may not be detectable at first, but may become apparent over time. This Clinic screens for developmental problems and offers parents and caregivers information on resources to support and promote their child's development. Children will see a developmental pediatrician, a speech therapist, an occupational therapist and a physical therapist. This Clinic is provided at no charge to the patients.
