This comprehensive panel includes the most of commonly ordered tests designed to give women an extensive overview of their health status. The health panel includes:
- The Chemistry Survey tests for seventeen substances found in the blood and give an overview of your general health. Results of the tests provide information on how well several of your organ systems are functioning. The Chemistry Survey covers diabetes, kidney function, gout, nutritional status, anemia, liver function, proteins, and vital minerals that play a role in bone metabolism.
- A Complete Blood Count can provide information about your general overall health. It can detect infection, anemia, leukemia and other disorders. The test includes the following information about the cells in your blood: WBC, RBC, Hemoglobin, Hematocrit, MCV, MCH, MCHC, Platelets, and MPV.
- Urinalysis is the examination of the urine. The urine is chemically tested for ten substances that can provide information on kidney function, urinary tract infections, diabetes and other conditions. The urine may also be examined under a microscope to look for bacteria or other organisms, cells of various types, and structures known as "formed elements" that can give additional clinical information.
- A Cardiac Lipid/Cholesterol Panel measures the lipids that are recommended by the National Cholesterol Education Program to determine your risk of having a heart attack or stroke. Total cholesterol is made up of HDL, or "good cholesterol," which decreases your risk for heart disease, and LDL, or "bad cholesterol," which increases your risk. Cholesterol-lowering drugs, known as statins, work to decrease LDL and increase HDL. Triglycerides are now considered a risk factor for heart disease. The most recent treatment guidelines recommend lowering triglyceride levels in the blood.
- A Thyroid Panel will determine how well your thyroid gland is working. The test first measures thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) with a very sensitive procedure. TSH controls the thyroid gland. If the TSH level is either decreased or increased, this could indicate thyroid disease. A free thyroxin (FT4) test is then done to help complete the picture of your thyroid function. FT4 is the thyroid hormone that influences many organs in the body.
- Occult Blood (stool) — Take-Home Test Kit. This test is done on a stool specimen. It is done to check for colon cancer and other gastrointestinal conditions that cause blood in the stool. If you order this test, you will be given three test cards to take home. You will then test three consecutive bowel movements. Return the ColoCARE reply card in the envelope provided if you want a printed report.

Preparation for Your Test
- Do not eat or drink anything but water for 8 hours prior to your test.
- Wear a short sleeved shirt or a shirt with sleeves that roll up easily.
