Where Can I Volunteer
Apply early! All positions on a 1st come 1st serve basis. All applications must be received by April 24, 2014.
Volunteers work one shift a week. For instance: "M-F 9:00-11:00 am" means you could volunteer 9:00-11:00 am on either Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday OR Friday. Volunteers are asked to make a serious commitment to our program. As we usually have a waiting list, volunteers may lose their position if they miss more than 2 shifts during the summer.
Volunteer in Patient Care Services:
Patient care volunteers rotate throughout various nursing areas during the summer, gaining unique experiences in a variety of settings. You will have direct contact with patients in a position that includes delivering fresh water and giving hand massages. You and a partner will also make beds, walk patients with IVs, answer call lights, feed patients, pass warm wash cloths and help patients order meals, etc. Working in the different patient care areas will give you the chance to find out if a career in medicine is for you. (limited a.m. positions available)
Volunteer in Support Services:

Clerical volunteers must be professional and have a cheerful attitude.
